GRENADA, Miss. (WJTV) – Grenada police arrested three people in connection to the death of a Grenada High School student.

According to investigators, officers responded to a call on September 22, 2025, regarding an unresponsive person in the 700 block of Leigh Avenue. They discovered the body of Ayden Reno, 16, who was pronounced deceased by the coroner.

Police said three individuals, who have not been identified, were arrested on September 29, 2025, in connection to Reno’s death. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information can contact the Grenada Police Department at 662-226-1211.

Delta News reported Reno was a student and a junior football star at Grenada High School. The school district released a statement about his death.

The Grenada School District is heartbroken to share the loss of one of our beloved students. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, classmates, and teachers who are grieving during this incredibly difficult time. Counselors and support staff are available for students and staff who need someone to talk to.
