The Kansas Turnpike Authority has awarded Bettis Asphalt & Construction, Inc. with an $11.6 million contract for pavement patching and surfacing work between the Admire interchange and south of Auburn. The total project area runs for a little more than 21 miles from mile-marker 147.8 and mile-marker 167.8.
Workers will make improvements to drainage near the east Topeka interchange as well near mile-marker 182.2 in October this year. The pavement and patching work is expected to begin in 2026 and be completed by November that year.
