The restaurant’s owner, Shamil Asani, made the announcement on Facebook, saying, “After many wonderful years of serving this community, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.”
“We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who walked through our doors — whether you were a regular, a first-timer, or someone who simply stopped by for a meal and stayed for the memories. Your support, your smiles, and your stories have meant the world to us,” Asani continued.
“This restaurant has been more than just a business — it has been a gathering place, a second home, and a part of so many lives. We’ve watched families grow, friendships form, and celebrations unfold right here at our tables. Those memories will stay with us forever,” Asani added.
Sunrise Family Restaurant was located at 5683 Wansford Way, off Harrison Avenue.
