St. Joseph Church’s Tailgate Cookoff

LOUREVILLE, La. (KLFY) — On Saturday, Oct. 18, the 21st Tailgating Cook-Off fundraiser, hosted by St. Joseph Catholic Church, will take place at Loreauville Park on Ed Broussard Road, from 10 AM to 10 PM.

The cook-off has become a local tradition, bringing together teams to compete in cooking competitions while attendees sample food and enjoy entertainment.

This year’s cooking competition begins at 11 AM, followed by live performances from Cajun Roots at 2:30 PM and Side Show from 6 PM to 9PM. A Catholic Mass will also be held at 4 PM during the event.

A silent auction and live auction are scheduled in the evening, offering opportunities for attendees to support the church’s fundraising efforts.

The event includes multiple registration opportunities, including event sponsorship, memorial sponsorship, and shirt pre-orders. These can be accessed via online forms shared by the organizers.

St. Joseph Catholic Church has emphasized the community aspect of the event, stating that it is a one-day occasion intended for all ages.
