Rio Grande hosts renaissance festival over the weekend
RIO GRANDE, Ohio (WOWK) — The village of Rio Grande took a step back in time for their renaissance festival over the weekend.
Folks returned to the Gatewood Trail System in Rio Grande for an event that offered things like knight training and a wall maze to unique vendors and handcrafted goods. There was also a costume contest for kids and adults, along with prizes and plenty of food trucks and booths to keep festival-goers fed.
This marked the second year for the Rio Renaissance Fest. The Mayor of Rio Grande, Matt Easter, said it was a great way for the community to come together.
