Over $100k in prizes, dogs will make a splash for major cash at the 2025 Dock Diving competition

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – It’s a pet’s day out. The 2025 Super Retriever Series (SRS) Super Dock will be followed by Pet Palooza, a one-day community event for pets and pet lovers.

Running, jumping, and diving, the three-event show will showcase dogs of all breeds’ ability to not only jump, but also put their speed to the test.

Organizers say over $100k in cash and prizes are available for winners who come out as top dog.

According to the event rulebook, each event is crafted to be very similar to track and field.

The Super Fly event is the dog version of the long jump. Handlers will throw the pooch’s favorite toy, each dog will run and jump off the dock with distance to where they land.

The Super V is equivalent to high jump and will test each pup’s ability to spring up high and remove the bumper from the device, holding it over the water.

The last event listed will test doggy paddle speed, the Raider Run, a timed event that will clock how quickly a dog can retrieve an item from the water and cross the finish line.

The producer of the Super Retriever Series shares the history and importance here in the city.

From the high-stakes of the SRS Retriever trials to the family-friendly fun on the SRS Super Dock, this is a week that showcases everything we love about the sporting dog world.”

The SRS Super Dock will be held October 10 – 12 at the Louisiana Boardwalk behind Bass Pro Shops.

Nestled right in between on day two, pet lovers can expect an additional special treat for Pet Palooza.

Local pet vendors will be on site for shopping, pets receive free rabies vaccinations, and you take home a furbaby with on-site pet adoptions.

A pet costume contest will also add to the festivities.

The event will be combined with the Shreveport-Bossier Makers Fair, ensuring that there will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The Pet Palooza will take place Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All events are free and open to the public.
