Multi-structure fire in Moran sends several to hospital

MORAN, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A multi-structure fire in Moran sent several people to the hospital for smoke inhalation Saturday afternoon.

At about 1:30 p.m. on September 27, crews responded to a grass fire on East Pearl Street that spread to multiple structures. Highway 6 south was closed during the response and was shortly reopened.

Several people were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The Shackelford County Sheriff’s Office shared on Sunday that these were all minor injuries.

“We ask the community to keep those affected, as well as our emergency personnel, in their thoughts and prayers during this time,” the Shackelford County Sheriff’s Office shared online.

The sheriff’s office also thanked all first responders for their swift action and dedication.
