Miss Reveille IX passes away due to complications from pneumonia

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (FOX 44) – A former First Lady of Aggieland has passed away.

The Commandant, Corps of Cadets for Texas A&M University released a statement over the weekend announcing the passing of Miss Reveille IX, who officially retired in 2021.

Miss Reveille IX passed away early Saturday morning due to complications from pneumonia. The Commandant, Corps of Cadets say they are thankful for the care provided to her by Stevenson Companion Animal Life-Care Center staff and the Texas A&M Small Animal Teaching Hospital.

The Commandant, Corps of Cadets say Miss Reveille IX served the university as the official mascot of Texas A&M from May 2015 until her retirement in April 2021. As her predecessors have since 1931, Miss Reveille IX served as an unrelenting living symbol of the Aggie spirit, both on campus and into her retirement.
