Former Hudson school teacher pleads guilty to sex crimes against child

A former elementary school teacher in Hudson, Wisconsin, has pleaded guilty to several sex crimes.

Madison Bergmann, 25, entered guilty pleas to one count of child enticement and two counts of sexual misconduct by school staff. Several other charges were dismissed, including:

Count one: First-degree sexual assault of a child

Count two: Using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime

Count four: Child enticement

Counts five, seven, nine: Sexual misconduct by school staff

Count ten: Exposing a child to harmful descriptions

Charging documents indicate that the child and Bergmann talked and texted each other “almost daily.” The child told investigators they had kissed several times and talked about having sex.

Bergmann is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 22.

Her former coworker at the school, Abigail Faust, is also facing charges for inappropriate relationships with children, including a child whom she nannied in Washington County.
