The Emporia Fire Department responded last night to Las Catrinas Mexican Grill on reports of a gas leak and a connected fire. There was only minor damage in the kitchen, and nobody was hurt.
Despite the fire, the fire department and the agriculture department approved the restaurant to reopen on Monday Sep. 29.
