The tournament will be in March at the state’s number one disc golf course, Parc Des Familles in Marrero. More than 150 professional players are set to complete.
The tour is backed by Councilwoman Jennifer Van Vrancken, who believes it will boost the Parish’s tourism.
“To see those economic development dollars flip into a national disc golf pro tournament, and all the hundreds of players and all the thousands of tourists that will come here, who want to eat our food, experience our culture, see what we have to offer in Jefferson Parish,” said Van Vrancken. “That is a big bang in return for our buck, and so, we’re super excited to host this tournament and to grow it for the future.”
Tickets to the tour will be available later this year.
