911 restored after fiber break in Mississippi

UPDATE: Shreveport police announced at 4:02 pm on Thursday, September 25, that 911 phone systems are functional.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department announced that a fiber break in Mississippi is causing an outage with the city’s 911 System.

SPD stated that the issue caused 911 outages across half of Mississippi and throughout Louisiana, resulting in a temporary disruption of emergency call lines.
