
The fire was reported at 2465 Centerville Road, near the intersection of Montague Road and the US 20 bypass, at 11:23 a.m. Blackhawk-New Milford firefighters were the first to respond, finding an active blaze inside a large barn.
Ten additional departments, including Byron, Stillman Valley, Rockford, and North Park, were called to assist in containing the flames. The fire was successfully contained to the barn, which was heavily damaged but not considered a total loss.
Officials have classified the fire as accidental, and fortunately, no injuries or other damage were reported.
