According to court documents, Mapleton Police responded to a home on a “juvenile problem”. The caller who reported the incident had followed the group in their vehicle through the city and into Springville until the juveniles pulled into a random driveway.
Both the complainant and his wife, identified as Lesa Ramirez, then arrived on scene and reportedly blocked the juveniles in with their vehicle. Ramirez then got out of the vehicle and began swearing and cursing at the group. During this, she reportedly brandished and pointed a pepper spray pistol at them.
Ramirez then alledgely used her palm to strike one of the juveniles multiple times in the chest, and court documents state the juvenile was left with large red mark on their chest.
Ramirez faces one count of Child Abuse – Intentional or Knowing, a Class A misdeameanor; one count of disorderly conduct; one count of Threaten With or Use Dangerous Weapon in Fight / Quarrel, a Class A misdeameanor; and one count of Unlawful Detention, a Class B misdeameanor.
