Springport man hit, killed by driver after medical issue
HENRY COUNTY, Ind. — A Springport man died after he was struck by a driver Saturday afternoon.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, around 1:04 p.m., police responded to a report of a crash involving a civilian in the 1400 block of East County Road 750 North.

Upon arrival at the scene, police found an 84-year-old man dead on the roadway. He was identified as Robert Parks of Springport.

Police said, at the time of the incident, Parks had fallen into a shaded area of the road due to a medical issue and was then struck by a driver passing by.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
