Smith County ESD2 first responders assisting with Kerrville flood relief
TYLER, Texas (KETK) – Smith County Emergency Services District 2 (ESD2) has announced that some of their first responders have been deployed to help with disaster relief efforts in Kerrville.

Through the TIFMAS program, the State of Texas has requested additional resources to assist in Kerr County after the area was hit by deadly floods on July 4.

Smith County ESD2 members, who are part of TIFMAS Strike Team 174, were deployed to Kerrville as a “Saw Mod” team. ESD2 officials said the team could potentially be deployed to other areas to help with disaster relief across the state.
