Man arrested in Stockton for allegedly attacking elderly person with wooden stick

(BCN) — A 35-year-old man was arrested in Stockton on Friday after allegedly assaulting an elderly person.

Ronald Perla-Reyes was taken into custody at about 2:34 p.m. in the 4800 block of Claremont Avenue, in the Lakeview District.

He was accused of using a wooden stick to strike the 68-year-old victim during an argument, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Perla-Reyes was arrested on allegations of assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
