BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Sept. 29, 2025 — BloomingArts Theatre Company is rolling out two fall offerings designed to help young singers, dancers, and actors sharpen their skills and prepare for the next stage in their artistic journeys.
The company will host The Two-Day Tune Up on Nov. 22–23 at Indiana University’s Lee Norvelle Theatre and Drama Center. Open to students ages 13–19, the program runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and features workshops with theatre professionals Brandon Magid, DJ Gray, and Hannah Reilly Holtz. Classes include harmonizing for ensembles, acting through song, scene work, and dance training ranging from tap to ballet. The cost is $75 for the full weekend, and space is limited.
BloomingArts is also offering College Audition Coaching Packages for high school seniors applying to competitive voice, dance, acting, or musical theatre programs. Students can choose from three coaching options — “Materials Only” ($79), “Video Only” ($79), or “Materials and Video” ($149) — which cover everything from song and monologue selection to original choreography, videotaping, and editing.
Founded by local theatre and dance professionals Devin May and Callie Rekas, BloomingArts Theatre Company aims to prepare young artists for college and professional auditions while also fostering confidence, discipline, and compassion. Scholarship assistance may be available for students with financial need.
