Trending cooler and drier; Tropics need to be watched

Weekend: Pop up showers will linger on Saturday. Clouds will continue to decrease throughout the weekend, leaving us with plenty of sunshine by Sunday. Temperatures will briefly warm up into the upper 80s.

Next Week: Temperatures are set to sit in the mid-80s next week. By Friday, get ready for 70s to return! Morning temperatures will sit in the mid-60s.

Tropics: Hurricane Humberto has rapidly intensified this afternoon into a Category 3 hurricane. This storm is expected to be a Category 4 storm by tomorrow and continue to the northwest this week. The NHC maintains Humberto turning back into the Atlantic.

The NHC has now added Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine to the storm west of Humberto. If it is named it will be called Imelda. The potential track has it making landfall in the Carolinas early next week.

We will not have any major impacts from these storms. However, we may see a better chance of rain depending on what soon-to-be Imelda does next week.
