One dead, juvenile injured after motorcycle and vehicle collision, say San Jose police

(KRON) — San Jose police said a motorcyclist has died after a collision with a vehicle Thursday night that also hospitalized a juvenile.

The incident happened at 8:05 p.m. in the area of Branham Lane and Jarvis Avenue. Police said the motorcyclist suffered major injuries in the crash and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. A juvenile from that vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said both directions of Branham Lane from Robb Drive to Jarvis Avenue will be shut down for “several hours” while detectives investigate the crash.
