COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus State University confirmed with WRBL on Friday that a student was assaulted in a parking deck near the dorms.
According to CSU, university police received a report of a student being assaulted in the city parking deck that serves their RiverPark Campus.
The deck is in the 1000 block of Front Avenue.
The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended and is now in custody.
CSU stated that the University Police Department is currently investigating the matter and cannot comment further until the investigation is concluded.
