Student on a bicycle struck near Selma Unified school

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A student with the Selma Unified School District was seriously injured after he was struck while cycling near Indianola Elementary School, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to YourCentralValley.com.

The sheriff’s office says the unidentified student was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle on Monday at around 8:30 p.m., close to the intersection of Dinuba Avenue and Bethel Avenue, an area near Indianola Elementary School.

According to the CHP, the agency responsible for investigating the crash, the student was left with major injuries following the crash.

In a statement, the Selma Unified School District says its staff are aware of the incident and do not have any additional details about the student’s condition.
