The sheriff’s office says the unidentified student was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle on Monday at around 8:30 p.m., close to the intersection of Dinuba Avenue and Bethel Avenue, an area near Indianola Elementary School.
According to the CHP, the agency responsible for investigating the crash, the student was left with major injuries following the crash.
In a statement, the Selma Unified School District says its staff are aware of the incident and do not have any additional details about the student’s condition.
Our primary concern is for the student and his family. Selma High School’s mental health team is available to provide support for any students who may be impacted by this news.
