Manhattan boxer fighting her way into national spotlight

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Manhattan local Sage Rosario has won 11 National Boxing Championships, and she isn’t stopping there.

Rosario trains at KO Boxing in Manhattan where she spends countless hours in the boxing ring. She says that boxing isn’t just a sport for her, her dream is to be the greatest fighter in the world.

“Just for me, it’s being the most dominant, having the most knockouts, being the most paid, you know, being the most beautiful and having the best deals,” Rosario said. “Also growing and inspiring the sport.”

For her, it’s not just about wins and losses. It’s about learning, growing and chasing her dream, and the Rosario family has been with her every step of the way.

“When she told me she wants to be the greatest female fighter of all time, there’s not a dollar I won’t spend for that, you know,” Parvin Rosario, father of Sage, said. “And when she told me that she wanted to compete and really do it at a high level and there’s no distance, I won’t drive. There’s no plane ticket I won’t buy. For me, it’s just about, you know, that’s when the fatherhood comes in, right? It’s about how do I make my daughter happy throughout life.”

After her big win, Sage has been back in Manhattan training for her next big fight. She says that every round is a step towards eventually becoming the best in the world.
