
CHICAGO — A 61-year-old man is in critical condition after being driven over on the city’s Southwest Side.
The incident happened just after 5 a.m. Thursday on the 4400 block of South Lavergne Avenue.
Police said the man was in an alley when he was driven over by a known offender. The victim sustained multiple injuries about the body and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
According to police, the offender fled the scene on foot.
No one is in custody. Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities say at this time, the incident is classified as an aggravated battery.
