LSU Shreveport issues 'Urgent' alert, cancels all in-person classes
The school reassures that this alert is due to a recent power outage that occurred during today’s storms.
When speaking to a representative for the school, it was reported that the campus lost power during the thunderstorms on September 24, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m.
SWEPCO alerted the school that restoring power could last at least two hours.
Power has been restored, and in-person classes are expected to resume as usual tomorrow.
A representative stated that power was restored within less than one hour.
Online classes will continue as scheduled.
