(KRON) — Hayward police are investigating the city’s seventh homicide of the year following a shooting last Saturday morning.
There have been no arrests made so far.
The incident happened on Sept. 20 at 2:55 a.m. near the 27000 block of Manon Avenue.
Police said officers responded to the report of gunshots and located a “middle-aged male” at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

The victim has not yet been identified by the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau.
