Fishers man charged with molesting young girl for over 3 years
Andrew J. Lamke, 70, was arrested last Friday and booked into Hamilton County Jail on five counts of felony child molestation, one count of child solicitation and one count of performing sexual conduct in front of a minor.
Fishers police began investigating Lamke on Sept. 2 when they received a report from the Department of Child Services alleging sexual misconduct with a now-10-year-old girl. The victim said the abuse had occurred since she was 7 years old, happening over a three-year span.
While investigating, detectives discovered that there were two other potential victims of Lamke who were under the age of 7. Lamke reportedly admitted to the abuse while on the phone with the father of one of the victims.
After gathering ample evidence and interviewing Lamke, who denied some allegations and was vague on others, police took the 70-year-old into custody. As of 3 p.m. Thursday, online jail records show Lamke is still being held in Hamilton County without bond.
Online court records show an initial hearing in Lamke’s case was held Thursday afternoon in Hamilton Superior Court 3, and a no-contact order was issued. If convicted, Lamke could face between 20 and 40 years in prison for each Felony 1 count of child molesting.
