Woman charged in deadly South Shore shooting

CHICAGO (WGN) – A woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly February shooting in the city’s South Shore neighborhood.

According to Chicago police, CPD officers and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 36-year-old Terri Bailey on Monday, Sept. 22, in the 2200 block of East 92nd Place in Calumet Heights.

Detectives identified Bailey as the individual who shot and killed a 29-year-old woman on Feb 9, 2025, in the 1800 block of East 79th Street in South Shore.

Bailey has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and has a detention hearing set for Thursday, Sept. 25.
