HAZARD, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky State Police officials are asking for help identifying a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery on Tuesday morning in Hazard.

Trooper Matt Gayheart announced on Facebook around 9:30 a.m. that the robbery took place on Upper Second Creek Road as the tenant was returning home.

State police noted that a man “armed with a wooden stick” approached the victim and beat him multiple times while demanding his wallet.

Trooper Gayheart said he then drove away in a maroon Chevrolet car.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man or his whereabouts is asked to contact KSP Post 13 in Hazard at 606-435-6069.
