Commercial vehicle fire on I-75 North in Whitley County leads to lane closures
WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Multiple departments, including crews with the Laurel County Fire Department, are fighting a commercial vehicle fire on I-75, with emergency management officials asking drivers to seek an alternate route.

Just after 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, officials with Kentucky State Police notified the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet that all lanes of I-75N had been blocked at the 23.2-mile marker in Whitley County.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

The LCFD wrote on Facebook that crews were at the scene of the fire, among other first responders.

Officials fighting the fire advised travelers to expect delays. KYTC wrote that Exit 15 on I-75 was being used as a detour.

More information about the commercial vehicle fire will be released as it becomes available.
