Rep. Tom Tiffany running for WI Governor
On Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany launched his campaign for governor of Wisconsin.
The Republican politician has represented Wisconsin’s 7th district since winning a 2020 special election.
Prior to that, he served in the state government in both the Wisconsin State Assembly and State Senate.
Tiffany is from Wisconsin and grew up on a dairy farm near Elmwood, Wisc., and graduated from UW-River Falls.
Current Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers announced he was not running again, leaving the field wide open for candidates. With Tiffany’s announcement, there are now three Republicans running and at least five Democrats running for governor.
The primary election is next summer on Aug. 11, 2026.
