Roseville teacher under investigation after alleged Charlie Kirk posts that celebrate his murder
Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot and killed on Sept. 10 during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University in Utah. Kirk is the founder of the non-profit organization, Turning Point USA, and a close ally of President Donald Trump. He played an influential role in rallying young Republican voters.
Since his death, several California school teachers and staff have faced disciplinary actions for alleged comments made surrounding the murder. On Monday, DCJESD placed a staff member on leave after being accused of making social media posts celebrating Kirk’s murder. FOX40.com asked the district if it would confirm that the staff member was a teacher at Silverado Middle School in Roseville.
“The Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District holds all employees to the highest standards in regards to professional conduct. The District is aware of an inappropriate post allegedly made by an employee on their personal social media account regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk,” the district said in a statement. “The post is both unprofessional and concerning. The personal comments allegedly made by the employee do not reflect the values, standards, or mission of the District.”
FOX40.com reviewed a screenshot of the alleged post. It read, “One less piece of s*** in the world today. Remember kids: a Nazi does not deserve your sympathy. RIH (Rot in hell), Charlie!”
The school district said it is taking the matter very seriously and is actively investigating. The employee has been placed on administrative leave.
