NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A New Orleans man has been arrested in connection with a child sexual abuse material and sexual abuse of an animal investigation.
According to the Office of Attorney General Liz Murrill, agents arrested 20-year-old Walker Allen Sholar on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
The attorney general’s office reported that the investigation was launched after agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit and the New Orleans Police Department worked on the case.
Sholar was booked into the New Orleans Central Lock-Up, and faces two counts of pornography involving juveniles (under the age of thirteen), eight counts of sexual abuse of an animal, one count of production of child sexual abuse material under the age of thirteen, one count of computer aided solicitation of a minor and one count of distribution of child sexual abuse material under the age of thirteen.
Agents said the investigation is ongoing.
