WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (FOX 56) — One man is dead after a motorcycle crash on Monday morning in Whitley County.
Kentucky State Police said that just before 10 a.m. on Sept. 22, a single-vehicle motorcycle crash happened on I-75 northbound.
Trooper Scottie Pennington said it’s believed that 48-year-old Scott Szczesny from Wisconsin was traveling on I-75 when he went off the road into a wooded area.
He was pronounced dead at 10:55 a.m. at the scene by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
Pennington confirmed that speed is believed to be a contributing factor to Szczesny’s death, and he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
