According to Cal Fire, A side-by-side burn of two structures, one with standard materials and a prepared home built with ignition-resistant materials, at the Sacramento City Fire Training Facility from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at McClellan Park.
Wildfire prepared living structures, also called “Zone 0” defensible spaces, give buildings a fighting chance to withstand wildfires and ember storms like those experienced during the Palisades and Eaton Fires, CalFire said.
California legislators and their staff will be able to see the effectiveness of Zone 0 in action.
