Kentucky State Police said around 2:29 a.m., the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office notified troopers about a white Mercedes stolen from Elizabethtown and abandoned in Radcliff being recovered.
According to a news release, troopers learned a second vehicle, a white Mazda SUV, had also been stolen from a home in the same Radcliff neighborhood and was believed to be traveling in the Louisville area.
Troopers reportedly went to Greenwood Road and Terry Road in Pleasure Ridge Park, where the stolen Mazda was found near the intersection of Terry Road and Morning Glory Lane.
When troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled, according to authorities.
After a short pursuit, troopers said they successfully stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Terry Road and Tearose Drive. The juvenile operator exited the vehicle and fled on foot but was taken into custody shortly later.
