Fairfield man returns to find stranger asleep in his home

(KRON) — A Fairfield man came home Monday morning only to discover he had an unwelcome guest. According to the Fairfield Police Department, the resident returned to their home on the 500 block of Gregory Street around 5:47 a.m. to discover that the lock on his garage door had been damaged and the door leading to the residence kicked in.

Entering the home, the resident found a strange man asleep inside. The man, according to police, forced the intruder out and contacted police.

Fairfield PD officers responded and located the man, identified as 40-year-old Quincy Collins, a few blocks away and detained him. Collins, police said, was booked into Solano County Jail for burglary and a parole violation.
