TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A single-vehicle crash caused a grass fire in Taylor County Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened on the frontage road of the 100 block of FM 707 around noon.

Police at the scene told KTAB and KRBC a driver lost control and veered into some powerlines off the frontage road, causing a grass fire.

This fire burned a few acres before first responders got it under control.

The woman, who was the only person involved in the crash, was not injured.

She was, however, arrested on outstanding warrants. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and it’s unknown if she will be facing additional charges at this time.

Tye, Abilene, and Merkel Fire Departments all assisted in getting the fire under control.
