
Dinkytown shootingAs of midday Tuesday, police hadn’t announced any arrests.
Police are searching for a suspect after a shooting injured one person overnight near the University of Minnesota campus in Dinkytown.
Officers responded to the 500 block of 14th Avenue South just before 1:30 a.m. on a report of a large group of unwanted people in the area. While en route, police say the call was upgraded to a shooting.
Officers were then notified of a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound being brought to the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound by a private vehicle.
As of Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made and police haven’t yet provided any suspect description.
Authorities did confirm that the shooting happened just off-campus. Both Minneapolis police and U of M officers are investigating.
