Suspect crashes into people after shots fired in Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A shooting investigation is underway after suspects crashed into parked cars and people following shots fired in Fresno Saturday night.

According to Fresno Police, around 11 p.m. they responded to a multi-round shot spotter in the areas of Hayston and Huntington avenues.

As officers arrived, they reported a vehicle fleeing at a high rate of speed eastbound on Huntington Avenue, before it crashed into several parked cars and some pedestrians near Chestnut Avenue.

Police report four of those pedestrians who were hit were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say one person believed to have been in the suspect vehicle and involved in the shooting was taken into custody.

Additionally, police say one person arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound but is uncooperative with authorities. It is unknown if he is connected to the initial shooting.

Detectives are actively working to investigate this case.
