MLK Drive bridge reopens to drivers after more than two years

PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — After more than two years, the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive bridge has fully reopened to drivers, pedestrians, and bikers.

The bridge reopened at 7 a.m. on Monday.

The $20 million project now includes a path that connects to the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Trail.

Mayor Cherelle Parker said the renovated bridge links communities to green spaces and economic opportunities.
