Homicide investigation underway after fatal Central City shooting
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting in Central City on Monday, Sept. 22.
According to the NOPD, officers responded to a report of a shooting in 2700 block of LaSalle Street around 11:59 a.m. At the scene, NOPD officers said they found a male who had been shot.
He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
