Have a heart for hospitality and a hunger for change? Host a Supper Club!
Community members are invited to either host a small dinner fundraiser or become monthly donors to help address food insecurity in Cullman County. The goal is to fully fund The Pantry through monthly donations by the end of September.
Participants can choose from two options:
The Link says monthly contributions are vital, as grants do not fully fund The Pantry. Regular donations help cover food, storage and utility costs needed to serve hundreds of Cullman County residents each month.
Those unable to donate can support in other ways, such as volunteering during Pantry hours, hosting food drives or inviting The Link to speak at local events. The Pantry operates Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with evening hours available on the second Thursday of each month from 5:30-7.
From The Link’s website (www.linkingcullman.org/neighborhood-resources): “The Pantry at The Link takes a neighbor’s choice approach to food pantries. You will come check in, receive a shopping cart, make your selections and be on your way. Stop by our hospitality bar while shopping and enjoy a breakfast sandwich, fresh fruit and coffee. A household is eligible to receive food once per month. Individuals living unsheltered can receive food weekly.
