Driver complaints lead to arrest of man jumping in front of cars in DeKalb County

LELAND, Ill. (WTVO) — Police arrested a Plano man on Monday morning after multiple drivers complained that he was jumping in front of cars and forcing them to swerve to avoid hitting him.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to Suydam Road between Leland Road and Route 23 around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, September 21st.

There, they identified the suspect as Jason Strever, 42, of Plano.

Strever was arrested on charges of reckless conduct and obstructing a police officer and taken to the DeKalb County Jail. There, he was processed and released under provisions of the Illinois Pretrial Fairness Act.
