The riders crossed the finish line on Sunday at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Jackson. The ride is part of the annual Cycle the Ride, which raises funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
“I think that, the first year we may have made $8,000 and probably had about 15 riders. This year, we’re at 40 riders in over $220,000,” said Sherry Hammonds, Community Development manager for the American Cancer Society.
The event has grown significantly since its start, with more riders joining every year.
