5 EYEWITNESS NEWS is partnering with the Mall of America on a campaign to give children in need new shoes.
According to studies on children, wearing the proper shoes can be a significant help in the classroom. Cara McGlynn, a school social worker, said children who don’t have well-fitting shoes are shown to have a harder time paying attention in class, missing school and could lack social confidence.
