ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened in Ellicott City on Thursday.
The Howard County Police Department said officers responded to the stabbing just after 3 p.m. at an apartment in the 3100 block of West Springs Dr. There, a woman was found stabbed to death.
Police said the attack was targeted, and there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment.
Police do not know what time the woman was stabbed.
A person who knew the victim was detained.
The investigation is ongoing.
