Two Mountain Home residents injured in Ozark County crash Wednesday morning

Two people from Mountain Home were injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Ozark County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver, a 71-year-old female, and a 4-year-old female passenger, were both transported to Baxter Health by ambulance for treatment of their injuries. The driver had what were termed moderate injuries while the young girl had minor injuries.

The Missouri Highway patrol does not release the names of those involved in motor vehicle or boating accidents.





According to the report, the accident happened when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a tree.

The crash happened at 8:35 Wednesday morning on Missouri Highway 5, 11 miles southwest of Gainesville.

The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Pontiac-Price Place Volunteer Fire Department at the scene.
