Students honor Alabama high school football player killed in ATV crash
According to Tim Hall with Marshall County Schools, 250 students at DHS honored 15-year-old Branson Peppers, who was killed in an ATV accident on Sept. 14.
“Our students in our Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization at Douglas wanted to pay tribute today to Branson. He was a student at Sardis. A young man of deep faith. Our kids felt this was the best way to honor him,” said Hall.
Students gathered in the gym as those who knew him shared photos and stories about him. Counselors were available for any students struggling with the loss.
Hall said that some students at DHS got together and lined their lockers with notes to Branson, noting how he lived out his faith.
