Entries open for 23rd Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hot Springs
HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Ark. — Officials with Visit Hot Springs announced that entries are now open for the 23rd Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Steve Arrison, Visit Hot Springs CEO, said the parade will welcome groups and individuals, with special celebrity guests to be announced later.
According to a spokesperson, the parade draws over 30,000 fans each year and features marching bands, floats, performance groups and attractions, from Irish Elvis impersonators to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, along 98-foot Bridge Street, recognized by Ripley’s Believe It or Not as the World’s Shortest Street in Everyday Use.
Marketing Director Bill Solleder said participants can register online or in person at the Visit Hot Springs offices in the Convention Center, noting that only 40 entries are accepted each year due to the street’s size.
